What can I expect during laser treatment?

A handpiece delivers a laser pulse into the targeted areas on your skin, and a controlled amount of therapeutic heat safely and effectively damages the hair follicles. Treatments take anywhere from a few minutes to about an hour, depending on the area being treated.

Do Gentle Hair Removal treatments hurt?

Gentle systems feature a patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD), which minimizes discomfort by releasing a quick burst of liquid cryogen before and after each laser pulse. This cryogen quickly evaporates, cooling the outer layers of the skin. Some patients report a sensation similar to being snapped with a rubber band, but that generally resolves quickly with DCD cooling. A topical anesthetic may be used prior to treatment.

How many treatments are required for permanent hair removal?

Treatment times may vary depending on your specific needs. Hair growth is reduced after each treatment and the number of treatments required will be based on your hair color and type, body area and skin tone.

What precautions should I take throughout this process?

Avoid sun exposure at least two weeks before treatment. Do not bleach, pluck or wax 4 to 6 weeks before and after treatment. Wait for tanned skin to fade before beginning treatment.
